Master of Music or Doctor of Musical Arts

The Master of Music (MM) and Doctor of Music Arts (DMA) degrees are performance-based and are available in the following areas:

  • Instrumental Conducting

Master of Arts or Doctor of Philosophy

The Master of Arts (MA) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degrees are research-oriented and are available in the following areas:

  • Ethnomusicology
  • Music Education
  • Music History
  • Music Theory
Graduate Non-Matriculated Status

This status applies to any applicant who is not presently seeking a degree. A student of this status may apply a maximum of 12 graduate-level credits towards degree requirements if accepted into a graduate degree program.
