Diva Vocal Jazz

The University of Washington Women’s Vocal Jazz Ensemble was formed in 1998.
This ensemble is made up of undergraduate and graduate students from
throughout the University community. Repertoire includes challenging
arrangements of current SSA vocal jazz literature, with focus on arrangements from
the “Great American Songbook”. Entrance to UW Women’s Vocal Jazz is based on
successful completion of the audition, as well as the following factors: strong vocal
technique; sight-singing abilities; and willingness to work together to obtain the
highest possible musical standards.

• Rehearses Tuesday & Thursday 5:30-6:50pm in Music 35
• Performances include one Vocal Jazz Night each quarter, a Vocal Jazz Solo Night(Spring Quarter), and other community performances
