Student jazz ensembles pay homage to the icons of jazz and break new ground with original progressive jazz compositions in two consecutive evening performances. Programs include works by Lee Konitz, Ornette Coleman, Lennie Tristano, Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Thelonius Monk, Cole Porter, and others.
