Italian organist Fabio Ciofini performs Italian music from the Renaissance and Baroque eras on the UW’s Littlefield Organ.

 

 

ARTIST BIO

Fabio Ciofini, organ

Fabio Ciofini studied organ, piano and fortepiano at the Conservatory of Perugia with W. Van de Pol, M.F. Spaventi and C. Veneri; with A. Fedi he studied harpsichord at the School of Music in Fiesole.

He continued his organ studies at the Sweelinck Conservatorium in Amsterdam with J. Van Oortmerssen and obtained, in 1999, the “Post-Graduate” in Early Music.

 

His interpretation of 16th-18th century music is widely appreciated. As a soloist he appears regularly in Europe and the United States. He also performs with the baroque violinst Enrico Gatti and as continuo-player of the “Ensemble Aurora”.

 

Ciofini records with “Bottega Discantica” - Milan and Loft Recordings – Seattle.
